The Nebo Manifesto

Every person deserves access to the AI future. Not just those with technical backgrounds. Not just those with resources. Anyone who is willing to grow.

We published a manifesto on getnebo.com. Here’s why we wrote it and what it says.

I’ve been building things for a long time. Software, companies, teams. Most of the time you figure out what you’re building while you’re building it. The vision sharpens as you go.

Nebo was different.

From the beginning it wasn’t just a product idea. It was a response to something I kept seeing over and over again. Fear. Real, deep, personal fear about what AI means for people’s lives and livelihoods.

I wrote about this in A Day in the Life of an AI Grief Counselor. The developers who pulled me aside after a demo. The private Slack messages. The quiet panic behind closed doors. That experience changed how I thought about what we were building and who we were building it for.

We weren’t just building software. We were taking a position.

So we wrote it down.

Why a Manifesto

A manifesto forces you to say what you believe out loud. Not what’s trending. Not what sounds good on a landing page. What you actually believe about the world and where it’s headed.

We needed that clarity for ourselves. And we needed to share it with the people we’re building this for. Because if you’re going to ask people to trust you with something as personal as an AI companion that lives on their desktop, they deserve to know what drives the people behind it.

This isn’t marketing copy. It’s a line in the ground.

The Manifesto

Here it is, exactly as it appears on getnebo.com/manifesto.

We are living through something that people will look back on for generations.

For the first time in history, intelligence is no longer limited to the human mind.

That reality is uncomfortable. It is uncertain. It brings fear.

You can feel it everywhere.

People are worried about their work, their relevance, their place in the world. They are asking whether they will still matter in a future where machines can think and produce at a level we never imagined.

We understand that fear.

But we do not share the conclusion.

We do not believe that this moment marks the decline of human potential. We believe it marks its expansion.

Human history has always moved this way. Every major shift has forced us to confront uncertainty. Every major shift has created fear. And every major shift has ultimately made us more capable than we were before.

The printing press did not diminish human thinking. It gave knowledge to millions.

The internet did not replace human connection. It allowed us to reach across the world.

And artificial intelligence will not replace what it means to be human. It will change what it means to be capable.

The future is not about humans versus machines.

It is about humans who learn to work with them.

There will be a difference between people who try to hold on to how things used to work and people who choose to adapt to how things are changing.

That difference will not come down to intelligence or talent.

It will come down to willingness.

A willingness to learn. A willingness to evolve. A willingness to step into something new instead of turning away from it.

We believe that every person deserves access to that path.

Not just those with technical backgrounds.

Not just those with resources.

Not just those already ahead.

Anyone who is willing to grow should have the opportunity to do so.

That belief is why Nebo exists.

We are not building something to replace people.

We are building something to support them.

Something that helps you think more clearly.

Something that helps you act with more confidence.

Something that grows with you as you learn how to use it.

Because the reality is simple.

The advantage in the future will not come from having access to artificial intelligence.

It will come from knowing how to use it well.

This is not about keeping up with technology.

This is about becoming more capable in your own life.

It is about being able to do more with your time, your energy, and your ideas.

It is about not feeling like the world is moving past you, but feeling like you are moving with it.

We are building Nebo for people who want to participate in that future.

People who are curious.

People who are willing to try.

People who are not ready to be defined by fear.

We believe in a future where humans are not diminished by technology, but strengthened by it.

We believe in a future where more people have access to the tools that help them grow.

We believe in a future where capability is expanded, not reduced.

And we believe in the people who choose to step forward when things begin to change.

The ones who do not wait.

The ones who do not hesitate.

The ones who choose to grow when everything around them is shifting.

Nebo is for them.

Nebo is for those who will rise.

What This Means Going Forward

That’s the manifesto. Every word of it means something to us.

If you’ve felt that fear about where AI is headed, you’re not alone. If you’ve wondered whether there’s still a place for you in what’s coming next, there is. But it requires a step forward. Not a giant leap. Just the willingness to try.

That’s all we’re asking. That’s all we’ve ever asked.
